    Nurse family Partnership (NFP)
    Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) began serving families in Marion County in November of 2011 with federal funding. With the partnership of Goodwill Central & Southern, Goodwill Northwest, Healthier Moms & Babies and IU Health NFP helps to address the risks of poverty, preterm births, other poor maternal and child health outcomes, high school dropout rates, domestic violence and child maltreatment for first-time moms and their babies. They proudly work with our state partners at Indiana State Department of Health to achieve the state’s goal of improving outcomes.

    Healthy Families Indiana is a voluntary home visitation program designed to promote healthy families and healthy children through a variety of services, including child development, access to health care and parent education.

    By working closely with hospital maternity wards, prenatal clinics and other local agencies, Healthy Families Indiana systematically identifies families that could benefit from education and support services either before or immediately after birth. The program is designed to strengthen families by reducing child abuse and neglect, childhood health problems and juvenile delinquency.

    Over 162 familes served so far, with over 1,000 loads of laundry completed.  The biggest difference that is happening is through connecting people with other resources in the area.  People are connecting with jobs, food pantries, and civil servants in a way that had not happened before.

    BIPOC Mental Wellness fund - application
    A few helpful things to keep in mind prior to the Mental Wellness Fund opening:

    -Funds will reimburse up to $400 worth of culturally appropriate therapeutic support, as defined by you, per calendar year.
    -You must be 18 to apply or have guardian signature at time of application.
    -You must have an address within Marion County.

    At time of application you will need to identify what form of support you are seeking and where the funds should be directed, in sum or in part. For example: an applicant may choose to apply $200 to group psychotherapy with their chosen practitioner, and the remaining $100 toward a community training.

    -Reimbursement will be made directly to the provider (funds will not be directly paid to the applicant).
    -You will have 60 days from date of notification of award to confirm payment locations, and any funds not utilized within that time period will go to the next person on the wait-list.
