Goodwill Nurse family partnership
Nurse family Partnership (NFP)
Goodwill Nurse-Family Partnership® (NFP) pairs individuals pregnant with their first child with a registered nurse for ongoing visits aimed at assisting parents and families in providing the very best start for their children during the earliest, most developmentally critical years. Nurse-Family Partnership is a national, community health program, widely researched and recognized for increasing health care access and improving health outcomes.
Goodwill’s NFP implementation which began in November 2011 with a single team of eight nurses who served Hoosiers living in Indianapolis. By the end of 2024, Goodwill NFP reached a milestone of supporting over 6,000 babies born throughout our service area, which means their parents learned how to bond with their baby; keep their baby safe; were counseled on the benefits of breastfeeding; received trusted resources, support, and guidance, as needed, for housing, education, employment and child care; and had their physical status regularly assessed, so they could achieve a healthy pregnancy and birth.

Healthy Families
Healthy Families Indiana is a voluntary home visitation program designed to promote healthy families and healthy children through a variety of services, including child development, access to health care and parent education.
By working closely with hospital maternity wards, prenatal clinics and other local agencies, Healthy Families Indiana systematically identifies families that could benefit from education and support services either before or immediately after birth. The program is designed to strengthen families by reducing child abuse and neglect, childhood health problems and juvenile delinquency.

The Little Timmy Project is proud to partner with Indy Melanated Birthworker Collective (IMBC) to help connect families with compassionate, culturally responsive birth support.
IMBC is a collective of birthworkers dedicated to supporting and empowering melanated families throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Together, our organizations work to reduce barriers to care and ensure families have access to trusted support, education, advocacy, and resources during one of the most important times in their lives.
Through this partnership, we’re working toward a shared goal: healthier parents, healthier babies, and families who feel heard, supported, and empowered.

B.A.B.E. allows participating families to earn coupons toward items such as clothing, diapers, car seats and other infant necessities, while Diaper Den addresses diaper and menstrual-product needs.
